Volunteer at Mt Timothy
Mt. Timothy Volunteer Ski Patrol is looking for new members!
Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that is fun and rewarding? Are you able to ski or board under control on all terrain? Are you willing to commit to the following?
- 60 hours of Advanced First Aid training (40 hours in class, 20 hours on hill)
- 1 mandatory lift evacuation training day at the hill prior to opening
- 13 full scheduled patrol days at the hill (8:30am – 4:30pm)
- Supplying your own pack/fanny pack/vest for first aid supplies
- Supplying your own ski/board gear
- Supplying your own transportation (carpooling may be an option)
- Paying annual $200 Canadian Ski Patrol insurance fee
If so,
Mt. Timothy Volunteer Ski Patrol will provide you with:
- Fun, friendly, hard-working and supportive volunteer team
- Full 60-hour Canadian Ski Patrol System Advanced First Aid course
- CSPS uniform jacket for the season, and name tag
- First Aid supplies for the season
Mt. Timothy Recreation Resort will provide you with:
- Complimentary Season’s Pass for you
- 50% off early season rates for a Family Season’s Pass
- 13 Adult Vouchers for you to give to a friend or family member (1 voucher for every scheduled day you patrol, up to a maximum of 13)
- Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate for you on every scheduled day you patrol
- 15% discount on food for you at the restaurant on scheduled days you patrol
- Upon request, a letter for reciprocal agreements with other participating hills in BC
